The volunteers serve under sworn deputy coordinators; the Cochise SAR Foundation backs them with equipment, training, and community education.

We never charge for a rescue.
In Arizona you are never billed for a search-and-rescue response — it is supported by the state SAR fund and community donations, not the people we help. If you are lost, hurt, or unsure, call 911 early. Calling sooner saves lives.
This team runs on community support.
Every dollar helps keep volunteers trained, equipped, and ready to answer the next call — at no cost to the people they rescue.
