CCSAR Volunteers & CCSO Employees
Under the Arizona Revised Statutes (§ 11-441), each county's sheriff is responsible for search and rescue within their county. In Cochise County, that mission is led by an appointed Civilian Coordinator and carried out by trained community volunteers — on call 24/7/365 — with support from sworn Sheriff's Office deputies.
