CCSAR Volunteers & CCSO Employees
Under the Arizona Revised Statutes (§ 11-441), each sheriff is responsible for search and rescue within their county. In Cochise County, that mission is led by an appointed Civilian Coordinator and carried out by trained, sworn volunteers — on call 24/7/365 — with support from Sheriff's Office deputies.
